We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and brings strong analytical thinking, financial accuracy, and operational organization to the team.
In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the agency, helping ensure accurate reporting, smooth financial processes, and timely month-end close activities. You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller and VP of Finance across a variety of accounting functions including financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll support, vendor payments, tax filings, and operational finance processes.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of balancing accuracy with efficiency in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Abilities & Skills
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting processes, including month-end close, AP, AR, payroll support, and reconciliations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial reporting preparation
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks, experience with Plooto, Dext, Float, and Payment Evolution is considered a strong asset
- Experience in preparing and analyzing balance sheet reconciliations, aging schedules, and financial variances
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating critical thinking, initiative, and accountability
What we’re looking for
- University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation required or close to completion
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an operational finance or accounting function with exposure to full-cycle accounting
- Experience supporting month-end reporting, AP, AR, payroll, and financial reconciliations
- Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments is considered an asset

As a Senior Accountant, your core responsibilities will be:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Support accurate and timely month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger analysis
- Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements and management reporting materials
- Track and monitor unearned revenue and related reporting requirements
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Operational Finance
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable and accounts payable aging schedules
- Support the AP cycle including processing vendor payments and influencer commission payments
- Assist with expense report preparation and financial documentation management
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation across accounting functions
Payroll, Tax & Compliance Support
- Assist with payroll remittance processing including CRA source deductions and Group RRSP contributions, registrations, and deregistrations
- Support HST, QST, and EHT filings and remittances
- Help maintain compliance with internal financial controls and regulatory requirements
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with leadership and internal stakeholders to support operational and financial initiatives
- Complete high-priority ad-hoc financial and accounting requests in a timely manner
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, processes, and organizational efficiency
- Contribute to maintaining a high standard of accuracy, organization, and accountability across the finance function

- Competitive base salary range: TIA reasonably expects to offer a salary between $70,000 – $80,000 for this role. The actual offer is based on experience, skills, and role alignment.
