GTM/GA4 (12 month contract)
The Influence Agency is a growing marketing agency that specializes in Influencer Marketing, Social Media Management, Content Strategy & Development, SEO, Paid Media, Web Design & Development, and much more!
We’re looking for a curious, business-minded, and resourceful Tracking & Analytics Implementation Specialist to join our team at TIA. This role is all about measurement and accuracy - you’ll take ownership of designing, implementing, and maintaining tracking frameworks in Google Tag Manager, GA4, and Meta’s Conversion API, ensuring our clients’ campaigns are measured properly from start to finish.
You’ll act as a bridge between data and decision-making, helping clients identify what matters most to their business, translating those objectives into measurable KPIs, and developing robust tracking setups to surface meaningful insights. You’ll also collaborate with our internal teams to ensure every campaign has the right measurement foundation in place.
We’re working in a hybrid model! We’re looking for someone who is located in or around the GTA with the ability to travel to our West End location at least two days per week.

Abilities & Skills
- Deep understanding of digital measurement and analytics ecosystems
- Proven expertise in:
- Google Tag Manager (event tracking, variables, triggers, data layers)
- GA4 configuration, custom dimensions, and conversion tracking
- Meta Pixel / Conversions API setup and troubleshooting
- Ability to develop tracking strategies aligned with business objectives and marketing KPIs
- Strong QA and debugging abilities across platforms (test events, troubleshoot discrepancies)
- Solid foundation in WordPress (themes, templates, plugins).
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP basics; JavaScript familiarity is a plus.
- Comfortable implementing SEO recommendations (on-page fixes, schema, redirects, performance optimizations).
- Excellent communicator — can explain data concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Self-starter who thrives in an environment with limited handholding.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing analytics, development, or marketing technology.
- Hands-on experience implementing and managing complex tracking setups in GTM and GA4.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business goals into measurement strategies.
- Familiarity with multi-channel performance measurement and marketing attribution.
- Demonstrated ability to self-learn technical tools (portfolio or examples encouraged).
- Agency or freelance experience a plus
Key Responsibilities

This role is designed to make tagging and tracking the backbone of our campaigns while supporting clients with essential web and SEO updates.
Tagging & Measurement (Top Priority)
- Build, test, and maintain tracking in Google Tag Manager.
- Configure GA4 event tracking, goals, and conversions.
- Implement and troubleshoot Meta Pixel & Conversions API setups.
- Audit and QA tags across client sites to ensure accurate reporting.
- Create and document tagging processes to scale across multiple clients.
Web Development & SEO (Support)
- Add new WordPress pages and implement updated designs.
- Manage plugins, troubleshoot issues, and optimize site performance.
- Apply SEO recommendations (metadata, schema, redirects, speed improvements).
