Description

Bilingual Social Coordinator

At The Influence Agency, we bring brands to life through 360° digital marketing elevation, uniting influencer marketing, social media, paid media, SEO, content strategy, email marketing, web services and more, all under one roof. Our integrated approach means our team members don’t just execute tasks - they own a meaningful piece of a broader, holistic marketing strategy that drives real business outcomes for exciting brands across Canada and beyond.

Rooted in creativity and performance-focused execution, our award-winning team develops digital experiences designed to captivate, convert, and grow. We’re always looking for driven team members who thrive on pushing boundaries, trying new approaches, and elevating brand stories in ways that make a real difference.

We’re looking for a Bilingual Social Media Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and is confident in creating and managing social content in both English and Québécois French.

In this role, you’ll support a portfolio of clients, bringing their social presence to life through culturally relevant, platform-native content, while managing the day-to-day execution that keeps everything running smoothly.

Team Member Traits

Personal Characteristics

  • Cares greatly about their clients, coworkers, and self
  • Highly empathetic, positive, respectful and competitive
  • Open-minded, curious, inclusive and trustworthy
  • Hard-working, prompt, organized, effective, detailed, and has meticulous follow-up
  • A passion for learning and improving
  • A natural problem solver that identifies solutions
  • Sense of humour
  • Ability to think quickly and learn fast
  • Is a team player but also knows how to work independently

Abilities & Skills

  • Fluent in both English and Québécois French (written, spoken, and verbal) — this is a core requirement. You will be responsible for writing, adapting, and publishing content in both languages daily.
  • Proven ability to write engaging, on-brand copy in both languages — this is not a translation role. You should be confident in adapting tone, cultural nuance, and messaging so content feels native to both English and French Canadian audiences.
  • Experience managing bilingual workflows (approvals, publishing, or community management) is a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of major social platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Proficiency with social media management tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite or similar
  • Experience with content scheduling, community management, and social listening
  • Experience creating social-first video content for Reels, TikTok and/or Shorts using in-app platforms tools or CapCut
  • Graphic design skills — comfortable with Canva; Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus
  • Familiarity with social analytics tools and the ability to pull meaningful insights from data
  • Experience overseeing or supporting influencer and UGC campaigns is a strong asset
  • Understanding of SEO basics and how they intersect with social content is a strong asset
  • Experience with paid social (boosting posts, Meta Ads) is a strong asset
  • Photography skills are a strong asset

Experience

  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in social media management, ideally in an agency environment managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Portfolio or examples of bilingual social media content. We want to see your range across both languages
  • Experience reporting on social performance against KPIs (engagement rate, reach, follower growth, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

The ebbs and flows of work at an agency mean your role will be rich with variety. The right candidate will embrace the diversity of this environment, and view it as an opportunity to learn and try new things.

As a Bilingual Social Media Coordinator, your core responsibilities will be:

Bilingual Content Creation & Publishing
  • Create and publish scroll-stopping content in both English and Québécois French across multiple client accounts
  • Bring a strong visual eye to everything you create, with design-forward thinking and hands-on Canva skills to produce polished, on-brand assets
  • Be a go-to for reactive content, jumping on trends, cultural moments, and real-time opportunities with speed and confidence
  • Comfortable creating across formats including short-form video and graphic assets
  • Lead with a social-first video mindset, concepting and executing content for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts with a clear understanding of what performs across both English and French Canadian audiences
  • Comfortable being on camera in both languages is a strong asset
  • Collaborate with Social Strategists and Creative to build and maintain monthly content calendars, balancing evergreen planning with quick-turn reactive needs
  • Adapt messaging and creative so it feels native, culturally relevant, and platform-first for both English and Québécois French audiences

Community Management & Engagement

  • Monitor, moderate, and respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in both English and Québécois French in a timely, brand-appropriate manner
  • Proactively engage with followers, brand partners, and relevant communities to grow organic presence
  • Flag and escalate any sensitive conversations or reputation risks to the appropriate team lead

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track, compile, and analyze monthly social media performance reports across all managed accounts
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on platform data to continuously improve content performance
  • Stay on top of social media algorithm changes, trending formats (Reels, TikTok trends, etc.), and platform updates

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Alongside a Social Strategist, work closely with the Influencer Marketing, Paid Media, SEO, and Strategy teams to ensure social content aligns with broader campaign goals
  • Collaborate with graphic designers and Creative department to brief and deliver social media assets on schedule
  • Participate in brainstorms, client meetings, and internal reviews as needed

What Success Looks Like In This Role:

  • You can confidently create and publish bilingual content with minimal oversight
  • You balance planned content with reactive opportunities without missing a beat
  • You stay organized across multiple clients and deadlines
  • You bring ideas forward, not just execution
  • You collaborate well and communicate clearly with your team

Portfolio Requirements

Please include:

  • Examples of short-form video content in English and French
  • Examples of graphic content and captions in English and French
  • Any other projects or campaigns that you’re proud of that speak best to your abilities and why you’re a standout candidate
